This refers directly to the phrase used by Pope Francis in November 2023 during the first hostage exchange: "I see women here who suffer. Therefore, I suffer with them." From a religious-philosophical perspective, the woman has generated compassion. If the reason for the woman's suffering disappears, she no longer suffers. And the Pope no longer has to suffer either. That is why he participated in the hostage exchange. With the result, the women have what they want and must no longer suffer. And because women no longer have to suffer, the Pope no longer has to suffer either. This is the justification in religious philosophy for the Catholic cardinal virtue of

Compassion.

Because of this religious foundation, the Pontiff was able to build a bridge. When we act on behalf of suffering women, we do so not to encourage terrorism.

Palestinian women are certainly suffering as well. And I share their suffering. Fortunately, in this particular case, if the negotiations are successful, neither of them will suffer any more, or at least less. We'll see whether that's possible during the negotiations.

If successful, it would be possible. This depends largely on the Israeli mediators.
